Requests for Information in LIUNA's "Docket" purusuant to Rules of Procedure
for Arbitrations Involving Disciplinary Matters for Individuals Before the LIUNA
Independent Hearing Officer
- 99-02-04 Phone call to Carl Booker, now General Secreary-Treasurer formerly special
personal assistant to LIUNA General President Arthur A. Coia, son of "mobster"
Arthur E. Coia
- LIUNA General Counsel Michael Bearse's reply letter of February 5,1999. Why a simple
request for information would require a reply from LIUNA's General Counsel, a non elected
official and Coia appointee, baffles me. Can Brooker write a letter by himself? What
special services did he render Arthur Coia is the question rank and file members ask?
Anything similar to that rendered law enforcement officers in New Orleans?
- Laborers for JUSTICE February 12, 1999 letter faxed to Vaira, Gow, Luskin, DOJ, Booker
et al not yet formally acknowledged by the IHO as of March 19,1999. So much for efficiency
and professionalism of the IHO office in in acknowledging formal protests. The GEB
attorney's office is so much more efficient and profesional. Some people have class,
others don't. Some people have intelligence, others don't. What can I say?
- Laborers for JUSTICE letter of March 19, 1999
demanding (requesting forcefully) paper and electronic copies of all material related to
the Coia matter.
