UPI MIAMI, June 30,A Federal jury on Tuesday acquitted Angelo Fosco, president of the 600,000-member Laborers' International Union, on charges of labor racketeering. Two other defendants, John Giardiello, 49 years old, president of a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., local, and Salvatore Tricario, 49, a Fort Lauderdale welfare fund trustee, were found guilty after more than three weeks of deliberations.

The jury had already acquitted Anthony Accardo [a former body guard for Al Capone] who is reputed to be a Chicago mob chief, and found six other defendants guilty.

Mr. Accardo and the others were accused of draining millions of dollars in kickbacks from the union's insurance and welfare funds.
